Like most, I spend a big portion of my day connected. I’m either sitting here in front of my computer editing or I’m checking and replying to emails, posting comments, or brainstorming sessions ideas (quilt free way to say prop shopping) on my iPhone. I’m addicted to the internet and all that is has to offer. It is truly amazing, I can zip around the world and soak up content from people I have never met all with the simple click* of a finger. I’m a shameless blog lover… I think reading blogs is like watching tv for me. We don’t have cable** so this must be how I fill that reality tv show itch so many of us have. I love stumbling on new blogs and am currently obsessed with anything party related as I’m two months out from Ellie’s first birthday and I’m determined to make it as cute and girly as I possibly can!
Anyways back to the point… I can’t stand waiting days, sometimes weeks for my favorite blogs to post new updates and I’m guilty of doing this very thing here at Simply Loved! I need to be a better blog mommy and so this week I’m going to start posting more. I have lots to share and of course pictures galore to post, so we will give this a go and hopefully it is well received and I can make my own faithful blog followers happy!
*I am a Mac gal now, so it isn’t really a click – more of a tap.
**if you come to the studio you will notice a giant old antenna on the top of our house that we use to get PBS so our children can watch Sesame Street, Sid the Science Kid, Dinasor Train, and Super Why. I broke down and got Dish Network for the winter, but something about watching home remodeling shows when you have a house that needs its own repairs just irked me. So back off it went.
My plan so far is to do a personal post/life update on Mondays (this will most likely be where I flood you with the daily pictures I take of my children), a photography behind the scenes/tips and tricks post on Wednesdays, and then on Fridays I will answer any questions I get. (I get ask a lot of questions through emails and in sessions. Several come up over and over again, so I think it will be helpful to post them for everybody to read). I’m excited to share, but believe it or not actually writing as in typing out my blog post is extremely hard for me. It takes me forever to put into words what I want to say and longer to try to proof read it. That is why most session sneak peeks are posted late at night. I write a whole book about how lovely the parents where and how adorable the baby was and how much fun I had working with them all and so on and so forth, but then I delete it all and try to sum it all up in one or two sentences so it isn’t so wordy and long winded. This new blogging style is a personal challenge of mine, and one I have been thinking about doing for awhile now! No time is like the present right? And to be frank I need to do something with my current dedicated “work out time”. Six pack abs seemed like a great goal to work for, but I’m having a hard time getting into working out. I would much rather sit here and blog instead!!! I promise to only eat low fat cream cheese on my morning bagel while I blog though, but I have to finish the tub of the regular before I can switch ; ) it would be wasteful to throw perfectly good food out!
And because no post is complete with out a picture, here are a few recents black and whites of my Elinor…

and one more of my big love napping my littlest love
PS – I’m a horrible speller and was never a big fan of grammar studies, so try to just ignore any errors you see. I will do my best, but it will make me go crazy and have to stop blogging if I stress over it.
COME BACK TOMORROW TO SEE THE FIRST BEHIND THE SCENES OF SIMPLY LOVED PHOTOGRAPHY POST!!!

from Cayen, Ellie, and Piper (our very own bunny love)

That tiny little princess is baby Aurora, who I have had the pleasure of watching grow through the lens of my camera into an amazing little lady with a big personality and a heart to match!
She was so excited to be in the studio for pictures and was happy to introduce me to her baby brother.
I asked her what her baby’s name was and she proudly told me “Pierce” and then followed that by squealing “HE IS SOOOO CUTE” and oh-my-goodness my heart skipped a beat!!! So with that wonderful introduction : ) here he is…

And if Aurora’s earlier sweetness wasn’t enough – Pierce was letting out little fusses while we where taking their family portrait and Aurora turned to him and said, “Pierce, it’s okay” and gave him a kiss on the top of his head : ) sweetness overload!
Jarrod and Ashley – I want to thank you both from the bottom of my heart! You guys have stuck with me from the very beginning and I’m so grateful for your un-waivered support. You truly helped grow Simply Loved into what it is today! It is such a pleasure to have shared in your life moments over the last three years, and I can not wait to see what your future holds for your now family of four!

Justin and Christi, thank you so much for making the drive down to the studio for Aiden’s session. She was such a little angel!
Our Ellie has had a tough little go the last two months with a bout of RSV, two ear infections, and a case of strep throat all on top of cutting her first tooth. Luckily this last week has brought our now healthy and again happy baby back around.
Leyton was so sleepy and barely made a peep during his whole session. Such a little sweetheart!

And Leyton’s daddy brought in the best props for his little man to use during his session! I know Leyton will love helping daddy work on his race car : )

Zach and Ashley, you three make such a cute little family!

Zach and Ashley, I can’t wait to see if this little one is a little mr or little miss!

It was so much fun chit chatting with you Ed and Becky : ) I was well on my way to talking your ear off!
