At eight days new Cora was the perfect little model during her session.  Her mom says she is a wonderful sleeper and sure enough we moved from set-up to set-up with barley a peep.Cora was the sweetest little thing, every time mommy or daddy would snuggle her she would melt into them and give snuggles back.Cora Rose’s name is a calibration between two family names and I  love how her daddy got a rose tattoo to symbolize the mark Cora has already made on his heart.  It is just in the beginning stages, so it will be neat to take a new picture when the art work is complete to see how much Cora has grown in comparison.

I still am in awe over little Zoey and how alert she was during her session.  It is such a rarity to catch a newborn during one of their short content alert moments, but Zoey spent the greater part of her session just happily absorbing all the sights and sounds of the studio.

I’m pretty sure this is the moment my heart stopped : ) when a four day old baby stares straight into your lens you take notice!  I’m not sure who was more intrigued by who at this point.

And I’m convinced Zoey was just pretending to be sleeping, listening to us talking about how cute she looked all tucked into daddies arms.

Yep, it ’s no secret that Zoey is a daddies girl!

Baby William had so much personality squeezed into his tiny little body!   I just can not get over him!  Between his wrinkly grumpy faces and raspy little cries he was shooting me smiles and sharing his wonderful little baby snore.  I don’t get baby fever often, but when he left I missed him terribly.

Three generations are represented in these next two pictures.  The helmet is William’s grandfather’s.  He played for the Huskers when he was in college and I’m not sure what all the words necessarily mean, but from the sounds of it this helmet has seen some major plays.  I’m admittedly not a big sports fan and I don’t follow football, but looking at the scratches and marks on this helmet gave me goose bumps.  It takes a true athlete to be able to play such a sport and fan or not, I have the up most respect for anyone who has the dedication and passion to play at that level.  College football is rooted deep in tradition and these images do a good job to represent that… a welcoming of William to Husker nation.

Before I can properly introduce Pierce to you, I have to take you all back close to three years ago, to my second ever newborn session…

That tiny little princess is baby Aurora, who I have had the pleasure of watching grow through the lens of my camera into an amazing little lady with a big personality and a heart to match!

She was so excited to be in the studio for pictures and was happy to introduce me to her baby brother.

I asked her what her baby’s name was and she proudly told me “Pierce” and then followed that by squealing “HE IS SOOOO CUTE” and oh-my-goodness my heart skipped a beat!!!  So with that wonderful introduction : ) here he is…

And if Aurora’s earlier sweetness wasn’t enough – Pierce was letting out little fusses while we where taking their family portrait and Aurora turned to him and said, “Pierce, it’s okay” and gave him a kiss on the top of his head : ) sweetness overload!

Jarrod and Ashley – I want to thank you both from the bottom of my heart!  You guys have stuck with me from the very beginning and I’m so grateful for your un-waivered support.  You truly helped grow Simply Loved into what it is today!  It is such a pleasure to have shared in your life moments over the last three years, and I can not wait to see what your future holds for your now family of four!

Meet princess Aiden…

At just five days new, she was as cute as a button and a bit of a daddy’s girl I believe!

Justin and Christi, thank you so much for making the drive down to the studio for Aiden’s session.  She was such a little angel!

Leyton’s mommy came in for her maternity session and was back just nine days later with sweet little Leyton.

Leyton was so sleepy and barely made a peep during his whole session.  Such a little sweetheart!

And Leyton’s daddy brought in the best props for his little man to use during his session!  I know Leyton will love helping daddy work on his race car : )

Meet baby Jude…He was 9 lbs 4 oz at birth and still every bit of that on his ninth day when he came into the studio to play : ) I just LOVE big babies!How cute is he with his lovely momma!?!look at those chubby fingers!and check out that squishy newborn face*Swoon* don’t you just want to pick him up and kiss those chubby cheekies!?!
