I’m an over-preparer by nature (it’s just what works for me), but with my due date coinciding with my busy season I’ve had to procrastinate on all things baby in order to get my last pre-maternity leave sessions done. All was going well and I was chugging right along with my schedule UNTIL my annoying Braxton Hicks contractions turned into full blown prodromal labor!
For those unfamiliar with prodromal labor, it’s very much like active labor, however the frequent contractions are non-progressing… in other words, these are just practice contractions and my bodies way of taking my over-preparing ways to the extreme : ) I’ve been dealing with these five minute apart contractions lasting a minute each for over a week now, which is exhausting, but being order take it easy has allowed me the chance to focus on getting things ready for the baby.
Thanks to my amazing husband, we managed to start and finish the nursery in less than two days. I did all the sitting and directing, while Adam took care of all the painting, lifting, and moving. We decided to go with the John Lennon “Real Love” and “Musical Parade” theme and I’m in LOVE with how it all turned out!

It feels good to have this big project checked off our list; now I can sit back and try to relax with my two main men, while I wait for these contractions to turn into the real deal ; )
It looks wonderful! Can’t wait to see pictures of your new arrival
